#TheNapkin Week 10 Gambling Preview

We're back! Last week the #AllegedlyArmy had a pretty good week, going 5-4 including last week's Teaser of the Week. This week will be just as exciting, with the Florida-Georgia game, Clemson-Notre Dame, and the return of the Pac-12. It's time to put our financial future in the hands of 18-22-year-old student-athletes!

SPREAD

#11 Miami (-10) vs NC State - Friday - LOSS

We start with a couple of Friday night games. Last night, I took Miami to cover the 10 point spread on the road, and it looked pretty grim until the 4th quarter. Miami was down 41-31 in the 4th quarter. Then, D'Eriq King took over.

Even though Miami didn't cover the spread, they won 44-41 after a game-sealing interception by the Canes on NC State's final drive of the game. If Miami can continue to win these tough road games, they will keep themselves in the conversation to make the ACC championship game.

#9 BYU (4.5) vs #21 Boise State - Friday - WIN

Zach. Wilson. Heisman. Moment. I said it on this week's week 10 preview episode. With Boise State QB Hank Bachmeier was out for the second straight game (no reason given) and it showed. Cade Fennegan, the freshman out of Dallas, TX, made the start and the flaws showed. He couldn't keep up with Zach Wilson and, frankly, not many people can. I hope the playoff committee sees this BYU as the top 5 team they are.

PARLEY OF THE WEEK

North Carolina (-425) vs Duke

Nebraska vs Northwestern (-170)

Washington State vs Oregon State (-145)

I decided to have a three-team moneyline parley this week because I can already feel the crippling anxiety that the Florida-Georgia game is having on me. I say this knowing damn well that I have a 6 game teaser to wrap up #TheNapkin this week.

ANYWAY

I know North Carolina has been inconsistent all year. They play horribly in the first half, remember that they have Future Indianapolis Colts QB Sam Howell at halftime, and then throw the ball downfield to their big, physical WRs to catch up and lose at the very end. That's been the formula for the 2020 Tar Heels. But against Duke? I think they play a complete game, with the rivalry being big and the fact that Duke is *checks notes* really bad.

I've never seen a team complain about a game being cancelled that they were going to lose by 28. That's exactly what Nebraska did last week after their game against Wisconsin was cancelled due to COVID-19. Now they have to travel to the Chicago suburbs to play a Northwestern team that has revitalized their offense. Not only have the Wildcats been playing some balanced football, but with Wisconsin one cancelled game away from being ineligible to play in the Big 10 conference title game, Northwestern is going to want o head to 3-0 and make a run for the Big 10 West division crown.

Oregan State is coming off a very successful season for their standards. Yes, they went 5-7 but they finally started clicking on offense and had an upset win over Arizona State and held eventual Rose Bowl champions Oregon to 24 points. Jonathan Smith played QB at Oregan State and has the program heading in the right direction. I have the Beavers here because I believe this is the season they go above .500 and make their first bowl game since 2013.

TEASER OF THE WEEK - 7 POINTS

#1 Clemson (+1) vs #4 Notre Dame

Tennessee vs Arkansas (+8)

Boston College (-7.5) vs Syracuse

#23 Michigan vs #13 Indiana (+10.5)

Maryland (+33) vs Penn State

Arizona State (+18) vs #20 USC

1) I was able to teaser Clemson down to be a FAVORITE?!?! Oh yes. I think Clemson will win even without Trevor Lawrence playing so, give me the point.

2) You should know by now that I refuse to trust Tennessee. And Arkansas is playing good football? And I can tease them to more than a TD? At home? Woo Pig Sooie.

3) Syracuse is BAD. I was able to tease this from two TDs to 7.5. Phil Jurkovec, don't let me down.

4) The question here is: which Michigan are we going to get? If we get the Michigan that plays above their weight, then I'm losing this bet. But if we get the Michigan I think we will, things are looking good for me. I would expect the Indiana offense to expose the Michigan defense. Those 10.5 points are a nice insurance policy.

5) I like what I saw out of Minnesota last week and Penn State seems to be a different tea without Micah Parsons and the other players who either opted out or just haven't been able to play due to injury. I think a 33 point swing is enough for me.

6) Arizona State is going to win the Pac-12 South and this is the game that supports that theory. I have full faith in Herm Edwards to be able to get his team motivated for a 9:00 AM local kickoff.
